Long bills that allow them to hunt for small fish, aquatic insects, amphibians, shrimps, prawns, and snakes. Their bills can filter microscopic organisms. They inhabit in wet environments. There are eight species in Colombia. Some species of ibises can live up to 20 years. Legs are extended in flight.
